At the start of the new year in 2021, students will unite to participate in the first ever virtually held CUNY Hackathon for non CUNY and CUNY students from all 25 schools within the City University of New York system.

The virtual two-day hackathon will attract over 1400 students and bring together students and professionals in creative fields, software development, marketing, and entrepreneurship to build solutions to problems unique to the New York City community. Students will also have the opportunity to learn during workshops or activities hosted during the Hackathon, all with the goal of improving our great city.

Eligibility

PARTICIPANTS

Current college students are able to participate in this hackathon. Participants are encouraged to work in teams of up to 4 on a maximum of one project. Registration for CUNY Hackathon constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions (and any amendments to them) which are final and binding in all respects. All individuals and teams that apply to CUNY Hackathon must be accepted by the organizers in order to be eligible to participate.

The Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant and/or team from CUNY Hackathon 2021 if, in their sole discretion, the participant and/or team has not complied with these terms and conditions, has tampered with the operation of CUNY Hackathon 2021, or has engaged in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to the Organizers, CUNY Hackathon 2021, or any other participant and/or team. This determination is at the sole discretion of the Organizers.

Requirements

A 1-3 minute video presentation of your project A.K.A. a demo

What does your project actually do?
How did you build your project?
